Modular Sealing- and Reduced Secondary containment System

This system enables as a moisture protection for the tank chime and the shell-to bottom weld. The modular character of this system allows to install the tank chime sealer ( Modul A) and furthermore the upgrade to the secondary containment system (Modul B – ASC).

Module A: Tank Chime Sealer (TCS-System) with German DIBt approval

The sealing of the tank chime and the shell-to-bottom weld and the resulting drainage of rainwater will extend the life time of the covered tank area significantly.

The sealer of the tank chime can be accomplished with 200-600 mm wide polysulfide skirts, having the necessary flexibility to compensate movement of the tank and thermal expansions.

The prefabricated material will be adhered to the tank shell. The material is extremely resistant against various chemicals and hydrocarbons.

 

After sandblasting of the primer is fixed at the tank shell.
The prefabricated material is connected to the tank shell.
The sealing is fixed at the tank shell.
After fixture the material will be rolled for better adhesion.
Complete Installation.

Special cases:

Tank fixtures: These items are subject of corrosion due to rainwater. Upon completion these areas are also integrated in the sealing systems.
Connection with the bottom of the tank.

Module B: Expansion to the reduced secondary containment system ASC to meet the requirements for imperious dike area or as a redundant monitoring system for spills and / or overfills.

The ASC System can be connected to Module A, the TCS System, and therefore represent and economical alternative to expensive redevelopment of dike areas, in order to meet requirements for impermeability.

The installation of Module A and B can be executed while the tank is in service since no welding work is required.
